Under the watchful eyes of J. Tostrup, he honed his skills, letting his passion guide his hands. In 1944, alongside Knut Aamodt, he breathed new life into Martin Lande's old workshop in Oslo, christening it 'Jensen & Aamodt'. Yet, by 1953, the winds of fate whispered a new destiny for Finn. He stood alone at the helm of his own company, crafting masterpieces, as an independent manufacturer, of guilloché enamel jewelry.<br><br> Jensen's creations were not just pieces of metal and stone; they were reflections of Norway's natural beauty and rich heritage. He was particularly renowned for his high-quality jewelry adorned with guilloché translucent enamel in mesmerizing shades of cobalt blue, silver-white, red, and green. This technique involved applying translucent enamel over a surface engraved with intricate patterns, resulting in pieces that shimmered with depth and luminosity.<br><br> One of Jensen's most iconic designs was the Solje, a traditional sterling silver wedding brooch. The Solje design, which means "shiny" or "sunny" in Norwegian, featured concave teardrop or disk dangles that moved gracefully, reflecting light like the sun's rays playing on the fjord's waters.<br><br> But what truly set Finn Jensen apart was his commitment to authenticity and quality. Each piece of jewelry bore his signature mark: "Norway Sterling 925S" and a triangle, which was his personal stamp. His designs, inspired by nature and abstract art, found admirers not just in Norway but across the world, especially in the United States.<br><br> Sadly, the world lost this gem of a designer in 1976. But his legacy did not end there. Located in Oslo, his workshop continued to create jewelry, keeping alive the spirit and artistry of Finn Jensen.<br><br> Today, Finn Jensen is not just remembered as a jewelry designer but as an artist who captured the essence of Norway in his creations.
