His hunger for knowledge led him to attend the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, where he submerged himself in the world of industrial design and architecture. The Big Apple then beckoned, and New York became the city where his eponymous design firm was established.<br><br> However, destiny had a twist in store. While sculpting art pieces from silver and bronze, he stumbled upon a unique transformation; what started as abstract art soon morphed into intricate jewelry. The "Michael Dawkins" collection was born, catching the eyes of enthusiasts from North America to Japan. So profound was its impact that even QVC came knocking for a partnership, prompting him to put his interiors company on hold.<br><br> The world was soon to know Michael Dawkins, not just as any jeweler, but as a maestro of granulation. This ancient technique of heating metal until it forms minuscule bubbles, became Michael's signature.
