Chopard
In the heart of the Swiss Alps, nestled amidst snow-capped peaks, the quaint village of Sonvilier held a secret. In 1860, a young artisan named Louis-Ulysse Chopard began crafting timepieces that would soon captivate the world. His workshop, filled with the rhythmic ticking of clocks, attracted the eyes and ears of royalty, including Tsar Nicholas II of Russia.
As the snows melted and seasons changed, so did Chopard. The brand found a new home in Geneva, the world's watchmaking capital. But it was a fateful encounter in 1963 with Karl Scheufele III, a German watchmaker with a vision, that propelled Chopard into a new era. One of Chopard's groundbreaking creations was the Happy Diamonds watch, introduced in 1976. Chopard's quest for perfection led them back to their roots in 1996, establishing their own manufacture in Fleurier. Here, they unveiled the L.U.C. Caliber 96.01-L, their first in-house movement since the brand's inception, and a testament to their commitment to horological excellence.
